JAWS Scripts for the Vocaster Hub.
Introduction.
For those people who have a FocusRite Vocaster one or two product, you will have noticed that you need to use the software management tool Vocaster Hub. This allows you to control many aspects of your device for hosts, guests and general settings.
Previously, when you launched the Vocaster Hub, it was not possible to press Tab and Shift+Tab by default so as to move through the various controls. This is now corrected in the latest application update.
These scripts provide a range of shortcut keys so as to move to specific areas of the program, together with some additional enhancements.
Before we get to the specifics, some important notes.
- These JAWS scripts are free of charge. FocusRite are actively engaging in discussions with the blindness community which is extremely positive. It is very much the hope that these scripts can be removed in the near future.
- As a consequence of the scripts being freely available, support is extremely limited as our company needs to focus on providing support for products our customers have paid for.
- Updates to the scripts will be made only when time allows.
Download and Usage.
The following changes have been made since the previous version:
Removed unnecessary speech output relating to whether the control is "On" or "Off", such as "Guest 48V Check Box Checked, On", or "Enhance Check Box Not Checked, Off".
When you Tab to one of the Preset Combo Boxes, JAWS now says the word "Preset".
When you move through the Combo Box values with Up and Down Arrow keys, JAWS does not double speak.
When in one of the Preset Combo Boxes, press letter R for Radio, C for Clean, W for Warm or B for Bright.
Press function key F9 to place the details of the focused control into the JAWS Virtual Viewer. This is especially helpful for controls such as the application version number.
