New Training Course: All I Have to Do is Stream.

Introduction.

As our students are discovering in the current training course, "Get iTuned into Audio", Apple Music is an excellent platform to stream a wide range of music comprising many thousands of songs. But there is even more choice available if you go looking, and, not just music tracks. Videos can be streamed and radio stations listened to. You can even get personalised radio stations based on your listening preferences.

Then there's the other side of the coin. You too could be part of the streaming community by uploading your own content for people to enjoy. Streaming content, both uploading and downloading using a computer and JAWS for Windows, is the subject of our training course, "All I Have to Do is Stream".

What Will the Course Contain?

This training course is divided into four one-hour sessions. We'll be focusing upon a number of streaming platforms for both uploading and downloading content. By the end of the course, you ought to have good skills so as to take advantage of any of these services if you wish to.

The course is divided into several core areas and we'll show you how to access all of them:

  • Spotify and Deezer. Both platforms allow you to stream millions of songs, work with playlists, and listen to radio stations. We'll show you how it's all done and discuss the range of music and level of accessibility of each one.
  • MixCloud. Search for online radio shows and upload them yourself. We'll show you how to listen to shows from many people, upload radio shows, create the necessary tags for searching, and ensure your track listings look the best they can be so you can attract that audience waiting out there just for you!
  • YouTube. Search for (and play) videos, or upload audio with still images yourself.
  • TuneIn. Search for that radio station you're dying to hear and listen to it while you work. Just don't tell the boss. We'll keep it our secret.

There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions regarding the topics under discussion, however this is achieved in a structured manner. This ensures that you can focus on learning the concepts being taught. There is a breakout session after approximately 15 minutes of instruction so that you do not forget the question you wish to know the answer to.
